Cynthia Star is an artist based in Portland,Oregon whose work has been shown internationally. She co-founded the Pacific Switchboard art space in 2002 and was selected to participate in the 2003 Oregon Biennial. Her favorite art project of hers to date is "Woolen Man" that she conceived of and collaborated with other textile artists. Woolen Man's most recent veiwing was in Istanbul, Turkey in 2009.

Cynthia is also a lifer in the field of stop-motion animation. She has created puppets and and puppet shops. She got her start on Eddie Murphy's "The PJ's" , headed up Character Fabrication on Robot Chicken and most recently was the lead painter for the full-length animated film, Coraline.
